PADI INSTRUCTOR EXAMINATION
After the IDC, PADI Instructor candidates must attend and successfully complete a PADI Instructor Examination (IE). The IE is a two-day program in which candidates are evaluated on their dive knowledge, skills and their ability to deliver teaching presentations in the classroom, confined water and open water settings.
IEs are conducted by PADI Instructor Examiners, who are employed by PADI, and ensure an objective evaluation process. Having every IE conducted in this manner ensures evaluation criteria is met by all candidates prior to becoming a PADI Instructor. Every PADI Instructor undergoes identical, impartial evaluation, ensuring consistent quality worldwide. See the excitement on your student’s faces as they take their first breath underwater.
The cost of the Instructor exam is $675 (June 2009). This is not included in course fees and is payable directly to PADI on the first day of the IE.
